Courtesy Post: Oscar was surrendered to a local shelter who reached out to rescue, but was turned down because he is very possessive of his Person. He will get growly if anyone reaches to him or his person, or gets too close, if he is being held. He wants his Person all to himself. It's his only flaw, and thankfully, another rescue , when contacted, decided it was not to be a fatal flaw. Boomerang Animal Rescue has this boy, and he's doing very well, just jealous of the one for whom he has chosen as HIS Person in the household. No known actual bite history, and was handled extensively in the shelter, with the same reactions. Even though he has no bite history, do not recommend a home with small children, as he is a jealous boy. He is, for this reason, considered to be a 'Special Needs' adoption. Oscar is 4 years old, about 11 pounds, is good with cats and other dogs.
