About Valkyrie

Valkyrie is our gorgeous Mini Malinois weighing in at just barely 40lbs. She is 2yrs old and is wonderful with kids, adults, and strangers. Prior to us rescuing Valkyrie from the shelter she was adopted and returned to the shelter, they allowed their dogs to aggressively bully Valkyrie so she gets quite a bit nervous around other dogs now. For this reason, we'd like her to be the only dog in the home with a family who can provide the training and guidance she needs so she can become confident and stable again to be with other dogs. She is currently receiving some training now, but the adoptive family will need to continue providing that training. Valkyrie has a very high prey drive so we do not recommend a home with cats or other small animals. She walks very nicely on leash, is house and crate trained as well. Knows some basic commands, but she can be extremely headstrong and stubborn when doing what you ask of her. Valkyrie likes to sit in your lap and soak up all the attention too. A family who maybe is active with hiking, and also has days they like to just lounge around on the couch would be an ideal fit for her. Valkyrie does like to be respected especially her space, so we'd like a home with children 10 and older if any in the home.
