About Roni

Our Roni is 6 years old. He is the most loyal dog I have ever owned. He is loving and lives to please his owner. His favorite thing in the whole world is his FRISBEE! He is about 75 lbs. Here are the reasons we are trying to find Roni a new home. He has very high anxiety (not the kind where he chews everything in sight when you leave, he has never ruined anything in out home by chewing... even as a puppy) His anxiety makes him a great home protection dog. He takes some time to warm up to you, but once he does he is loving, but only with adult. He is not good with children or other animals. We have a 2 1/2 year son and has been fine with him, but any other child he has met he has shown aggression towards. Our main concern is when our son starts having friends over. He would be a fantastic dog for a farm, an older couple or a younger family with no children. His aggression towards children and other dogs is truely his only fall back. He is not a digger, barker or chewer. He is kennel trained and know basic commands (sit, stay, lay down, shake and he can even flip a treat off his nose and catch it in the air ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD). He travels well and is completely potty trained. We do feed him only grain free dog food because of a small skin allergy on his belly as a pup, but cleared up as soon as we switch to grain free. As an Aussie he obviously has great energy, you will see it in full swing as you play frisbee with him. He is a good walker (pulls a little at first because of his excitement). We have had Roni since he was a puppy and he has never had any traumatic incident, he is just very protective and uneasy around children and other dogs. We want nothing more than to keep him as part of our family but we are afraid that if there were to ever be an incident, it would lead to a worse outcome than finding him a loving home now.
