About Elmer

Elmer is an all-around awesome dog. He is a 14 pound Terrier mixed breed dog. We estimate his age to be 7 or 8. Elmer was turned into a local shelter by a citizen who found him. No one came looking for him and he had been there for several weeks. It was time to get this great guy back in a home and out of the shelter environment. Elmer was ready for his new adventure when our director picked him up at the shelter. He happily road shot gun and gazed out the windows as she drove him to his foster home. He happily met the other dogs and cats in his foster home and made himself at home. Elmer is a playful dog who is obsessed with squeaky balls. He loves to run after the bouncing ball and can catch it in his mouth. He also loves to play tug. He knows the sit command and we are still testing him on other commands, but he appears to be a fast learner. Elmer would fit into almost any home, he likes everyone. He would enjoy a fenced in yard where he can safely play ball with his new family. Like most terriers, he is a talker. He makes all kinds of sounds and vocalizations to tell you what he thinks about almost everything. He is full of personality. Elmer is house trained and does pretty well on a leash. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. He also recently had a dental cleaning. He is all set to make the move to his forever home.
