FORGOTTEN PITTIE SAVED FROM STREETS NOW NEEDS HOME TO RECOVER. Hi, my name is CHOKI - ID#A4317477. I am a neutered male, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier, and I weigh about 57 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old, and I have been at the shelter since Sep 21, 2019. Choki came into the shelter in pretty poor condition. His wounds and cold have just about healed up, but he has a small mass on his rear end that will need to be seen by a family vet. Here are some notes about Choki's history here at the shelter, so you can see the progress he has made: 9/21/2019 INTAKE: ASSESSMENT Dog sought attention from entire staff. Allowed vaccines with no struggle. Walked to kennel on leash. 9/23/2019 EVALUATION Easy exit, entered yard neutral and allowed greetings from helper. Co-existed initially but due to medical not able to stay in yard. Became over corrective when dog got near rear end. 9/26/2019 OBSERVATION Easy to leash, approached right away in kennel. Walked well on leash. Tail wagging and affiliative the whole time. No issues going into kennel or removing the slip lead. 10/2/2019 WALK easy pull and quick exit from building. Some barking along the way with others. Roamed yard, watching and listening to other dogs. Loved back rubs. No treats. Easy return. Please consider this sweet, personable little guy for your next furry family member. He will reward you with many years of loyalty and unconditional love.
