Hi, my name is CHANCE - ID#A4314981. I am a neutered male, sable and white American Staffordshire Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Sep 11, 2019. Take a chance on Chance! This cutie-patootie with the pink piggy nose is needing someone special that can see past his stressed-out exterior, to all the potential he has. Chance isn't so keen on shelter life (I can't blame him), and has a lot of excess energy/anxiety when he's out. When he does start to settle, he shows what a cool dude he can be. To start with, Chance is very curious. He likes to be 'in the know' and will trot over to each new person to say hello and see what they're up to. He loves to sniff and explore the play yard, or go on a walk and soak up all the sights, sounds and smells. Chance is a friendly guy and loves to give kisses- in fact, I hope you're okay with a little slobber, because he can be kind of sloppy. Per Chance's notes, he seemed over-stimulated and was 'invasive' with his greetings. It's so hard sometimes, for the dogs to settle enough to appropriately greet other dogs. Imagine going to a party and interacting normally with people when you're having an awful day, or your anxiety level is high... it won't go so great. If you have a dog at home already, please bring them in for a meet and greet. A great way to help dogs settle and get used to each other is a walk; you can always ask to meet Chance with your dog in a quieter area, or go on a short walk with them and a staff or volunteer. Please consider this sweet little goofball for your next furry family member. 'URGENT' If you have no breed restrictions, please call ASAP = 520-800-4633
