About LUCKY

Lucky is very lovable and has been a part of our family since he was a puppy. We LOVE him, but must surrender him as young children have moved into our home. Lucky is fine around the children, with adult supervision, but he (and the children) cannot be trusted alone together due to his aggression with food and his fearfulness when approached quickly or startled. He has a history of shivering with fear, especially when it would rain, that has been alleviated with use of an antidepressant. Presently, he lives along side 2 cats without any problems and had lived with an Australian Sheppard his entire life until a few years ago. He gets along well with other dogs in the family that come to visit. When not sleeping or laying in a sunny spot, he prances around as happy can be. He is a lap dog that loves to snuggle and be kept warm and cozy. However, visitors do not see this side of Lucky, as when strangers come, he barks, growls, and must be separated. So if a true chihuahua lover is interested in him, there would need to be a plan for acclimation.
