About Jackson

Jackson is a beautiful dark gray Lhasa Apso mix. Jackson is almost 2 years old and weighs around 18 pounds. Jackson was rescued from a very crowded shelter in Texas before making his way up to Iowa and the safety of a fos-ter home. Jackson is a big lover. He loves to be in your lap and snuggling on the couch or bed. He bonds very strongly to his favorite person. For that reason Jackson would do best in a home with one adult in the home. His new home should not have children; he wants to be the baby. He is friendly with visitors to the home and with people outside the home. Jackson is used to a fenced yard to get out and do some playing and doing his business. But he is also good on a leash and likes to go for walks. He is a very good passenger in the car and will happily go on road trips or just run short errands with you. Jackson is house trained and kennel trained. He can be left outside of a kennel as he is not destructive and does not do anything more than wait for his person to get home. Jackson gets along well with other dogs and likes to play with other dogs. We have not introduced him to cats. Jackson is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. He was recently groomed and is all ready to find his forever home. If you are looking for a loyal companion, Jackson is just the guy for you.
