About Norman

When Norman is out and about, he is a friendly, affectionate boy that needs a running / hiking buddy! He's a very energetic, smart as can be 1ish yr old Malinois mix. He still needs training but is very smart and learns very quickly. He is also very friendly with other dogs so lots of doggy wrestling would be great, too, but he does not need another dog in the home. He is currently about 62lbs but still has some filling out to do so he should be about 70-75lbs or so when filled out and full grown. With the right person, he will be a bit on the submissive side, but can also be stubborn about doing his own thing if he gets overstimulated so an experienced Malinois owner would be best. He is not good with the energy of young children so an adult only home is required. Because this very silly boy can jump a 6 ft fence without hesitation, we are open to homes without a fence and instead when outside, he should be leashed at all times. He is most interested in being with his person, so hanging out inside after his outings and exercise is his favorite thing to do. He is fully crate trained and house trained, and can be home alone for 5-6hrs. He's wonderful with people when away from home but when at home he can be very protective. He must have an assertive, experienced person help him learn that he can trust visitors in the home.
