About Rocky

Location: Boise, ID Adoption Fee: $100 Age: 6 years Weight: 15 pounds Breed: Manchester Terrier Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Rocky's family has loved him his entire life but unfortunately they fell on very hard times and they knew that they could not care for him any longer so they reached out to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue for help. He missed his mom for a while but has settled into his foster home well. Rocky wants to be your new best friend. He doesn't care what you are doing; he just wants to be involved. He loves cuddles and sleeps in bed with his foster people under the covers. He is young at heart and full of energy, with some practice we think he would be a great hiking or running buddy. If left alone in the kitchen he can jump on the counters and will get in the trash; he gets bored pretty easily. H He has a bit of separation anxiety; he wants to be in the same room as you if you are home. He also needs to be crated if you are leaving the house because he will tear up blankets, tissues, and toilet paper. He is good dogs of all sizes and cat friendly. He loves car rides. He is house and crate trained- he marked a couple times when he first came in the house but quickly learned that wasn't allowed and we have not had a problem since. He knows his basic commands and even knows 'give me loves' - it's super cute. While he isn't actively against children he would prefer a home with kids older than 10 who can keep their hands calm and gentle. You see, he has a bit of a fun police personality. He sometimes gets nervous around loud noises and fast actions so he will need someone who is willing to work with him on letting things go. He is very loyal to whoever is cuddling him and sometimes gets too jealous if someone tries to interact with that person and reacts by nose butting them and growling, warning them to go away. He hasn't broken any skin but it can definitely be a little scary the first few times it happens. In true small dog fashion he barks at all noises in the front yard and even barks at guests for a few minutes until they pet him. With some training and consistency we are positive he will be a great family member.
