About Frankie

Frankie is a one year old Shih Tzu and Border Terrier Mix. He weighs 10 pounds and is fully grown. Frankie and his brother Bowie (also listed for adoption) were dropped off at a large shelter by their owner. The shelter was a very scary place for these young dogs and the shelter quickly moved them out so we could put them in foster homes where they are much more comfortable. Frankie is very much a lap dog and just melts into the arms of anyone who will hold him. If you loosen your hold on him, he will hold onto you. Frankie is a young dog who is playful, too. He does not have much experience on a leash so we would like his new home to have a fenced yard so he can get outdoors easily until he has more time to learn to walk on a leash. His new people will have to be patient to teach him leash skills as well as other basic commands. He is a cautious and gentle soul who is looking for a loving home and some positive training in order to blossom. Frankie is house trained and does well with other dogs his size and cats. He is happy to meet anyone who will give him some loving attention and treats. Frankie is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped.
