About Pippa

We sadly have to rehome our sweet, old, faithful dog, Pippa, as our five month old daughter is EXTREMELY allergic to our small dog, and it's been getting worse. As much as we want our children to grow up with animals in the house, our daughter's wellbeing is on the line, and we need to take action. Pippa, a rescued Chihuahua mix, is about 10 years old, weighs about 12 pounds, is in excellent health, and loves to cuddle her humans. She doesn't LOVE kids, but she doesn't do more than occasionally bark at them if they come to close to her face. She LOVES other dogs and gets along even with some that are usually aggressive. She is missing most of her teeth already, so you don't have to worry about horrific dental bills, but she does have to eat soft food for the rest of her life. She does get carsick if she eats before a trip, but is a very good traveler otherwise. She is well-behaved in public settings, and I have flown with her multiple times. She is likely to go through a bout of separation anxiety, and it will take a while for her to warm up to you. I'm really hoping to find Pippa a safe and loving new home where she can flourish, and we could maybe even stay in touch with her new family to see how she is doing.
