About Hank

Hank is my best friend. Unfortunately, I have to come to terms with the fact that I am not his best home anymore. I love him to death, but I recently lost my job, and I've fallen behind on taking care of Hank and he deserves better. He is the sweetest dog I've ever had, and I've only ever heard him bark once. He wants nothing more than to spend time with me/whoever his next human might be, and he never strays far. He loves balls filled with peanut butter and playing short games of fetch. His favorite places to be scratched are just behind His ears, between his eyes, his neck right where it meets his head, and of course his butt, although he's especially fond of a good chest rub. He's about 110 lbs and I believe he's about 6 now. When I got him, he had no name and was close to being put down for being in the shelter so long. I can't bear to take him back to that miserable place knowing how depressed he was there and the chances that he will just be euthanized for his age. Hank has a lot of love and life left in him, and would do great for a family with older kids, or even just a more capable individual or couple. If I didn't have to give him up for his own good, I wouldn't be. He's helped me though some of the toughest times of my life, and have to do good by him on that and give him the best life possible. I'm crying while I type this because I'm already dreading how much it will hurt to see him go.
