911 EXPERIENCED Adopter needed!! Name: Thelma Breed: Old English Bulldog Age: 3 yrs Location: Oklahoma city Thelma is a great girl full of life and love but is as stubborn as they come, true to her breed! She is up for adoption to an experienced home that understands a stubborn dog! She has been on CBD oil and Solequin for her anxiety and she's a whole new girl! She's doing great on leash and such a happy girl in her foster home! Look at her smiles. She literally jumped up and hugged me when I arrived to pick her up from boarding and didn't let go until I said it was time to go Bye-bye! Thelma is all love and purely STUBBORN as is common with her breed. She needs to find a home that will be sure they can let her know they are the boss and not her. If she thinks she can get away with running the roost, she will try it. She came to us with burn marks all the way down to bloody tissue on her neck from abusive use of a shock-collar. It took weeks to heal the scabs and made her very nervous and nippy when it came to putting a collar on her. She cannot go to a home with an invisible fence ever again, as this was a very traumatic experience for her. Her stubbornness did not stop her from trying to push those limits. She is a bit hand shy, which is indicative of physical abuse as well. She is learning to trust again and will take time to trust her new person and environment. She loves to cuddle, roll on her back for belly rubs and snort and sniff around everything. She is more if an alpha female and does well with dogs that can stand up to her, she does get jealous of other's when it comes to getting attention. She is nervous around small children and should be in a home with older kids or children who will not fear her. She can be a bit territorial and has been known to hike her leg and mark, but takes correction well. She's doing great on the leash since learning its not unsafe and has not had an issue with her collar since we put her on anti-anxiety supplements. She has had separation anxiety in the past but has been incredible on her new medication and not broke out of any more crates! She does have a food allergy to chicken, so she is on a chicken free diet. She currently eats Blue Buffalo Chicken free food and treats. Thus, No eggs and no chicken products as it causes her to scratch her hair out and get yeast infections. She loves the water and to be outside and enjoy the sun! She has been potty trained but all new environments require do have adjustment periods. We are looking for a forever home that understands her breed and can provide her the best life! If you fit this, PLEASE APPLY and give her a good life! She is medically ready and in perfect health! Here's the application for adoption, fostering, transport help and volunteers, please fill it out and we will proceed to processing it ASAP! All our animals are completely vetted upon adoption, spay/neuter, vaccinations up to date, current heartworm/flea/tick prevention, microchipped and health exam/check/certification within 90 days of adoption.
