About GWENEVERE

'GWENEVERE' (aka 'Gwen') is a beautiful 2 to 3 year old chocolate lab mix with beautiful golden eyes, who we rescued from a very high kill dog pound. Gwen has a red tint to her chocolate coat and is a medium sized girl (under 50 lbs.) When she was rescued she was pregnant and had 7 puppies which I believe was probably her first litter. She was a wonderful mother and was never aggressive towards her pups being handled (but she would watch you real close.) All her pups were adopted into good homes and now it's her turn! She has had to wait to finish all her medical and she has an absolutely wonderful disposition. She gets along with all our dogs and loves to play. She is always very excited to see her family when they have been gone or when she gets up in the morning (she is crate trained.) She will lick at you hoping she can reach you for a kiss. She is not a barker unless there's a reason (need to go out or a stranger is around.) She stands very patiently in her crate and waits to be let out with a really funny expectant expression. She has a really expressive face! She is always excited about mealtime and finishes everything you give her (kind of makes me wonder about her background.) She has a funny habit of checking the other dogs' bowls on her way by to see if there are leftovers (I call it 'checking for change'.) She is trained to go outside and has never soiled her kennel. She is a wonderful dog who wants to be with her family whenever she can even if she is just hanging out in the room with them and laying on the floor with a chew. She loves to snuggle up on the couch after trying to rub all over you ��%BD%81S She comes when she is called and walks on a leash really well. She is generally a very calm dog and loves her family. She is just starting to learn to play with toys but what she really loves to do is be with her family and we have her out with us as much as we can because she is so loving.' Gwen has been spayed, de-wormed, micro-chipped, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not administer it's own vaccination shots. All of our rescued dogs' medical care has been administered by a licensed Veterinarian. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., pro-biotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
