Livan, Mia's current owner loves her, but cannot keep her. He took her in as a young puppy, when she had mange and upper respiratory infection. He took her in to cure her of her ailments, never knowing if he would be able to keep her long-term. Now she's completely healthy and beautiful! Livan has two children, another dog, works 10 hour days and recently lost his wife to cancer. He does not feel he has the time to dedicate to a young dog, which is why he is re-homing Mia. Mia's between 7-8 months of age. Mia gets along great with his other dog, and any other dogs she's met thus far... and all people - she is a big love-bug, and is house trained to pee and poop outside. He does not crate her but rather leaves her in his yard when he works all day (this is not ideal of course). Please reach out to meet and potentially adopt Mia. Livan was considering surrendering her to Metro Animal Services; I have two weeks to work to find her a home. If you cannot adopt her yourself, I appreciate you sharing her and/or offering up prayers and good vibes for her to find a perfect family! PS: We've scheduled her spay surgery for 10-29, a Tuesday, which will be free since she's a pit bull.Ideally she'll go home with her new owner that afternoon, proceeding surgery.
