CHIA - A126095 Clackamas County Dog Services, Clackamas, OR My name is Chia and I'm a beautiful and fluffy senior gal who is looking for a new family to call my own. I do not know how I ended up as a stray at the Clackmas shelter in Oregon. Although I'm a senior gal, don't let my age fool you; I'm spunky and energetic, and would love to go for easy walks around the neighborhood every day. I'm a chow girl, with maybe some keeshond in me too. If you know about my wonderful chow breed, you know that we can be more independent dogs. That is true of me as well; I do enjoy being around my people, but I like to do my own thing sometime too. If my luxurious coat wasn't sign enough, I will require grooming to keep my fur and skin healthy. Speaking of skin health, I used to have a few hotspots that the folks here at the shelter have been helping me out. I also have a mass near my throat and one near my mammary gland, that my new family may want to have investigated further with their vet! So far, it hasn't caused me any distress. When you come and meet me, make sure to talk with the shelter vet who has been helping me out about future care I will need! Because I'm an older gal, I will do best with any children in the home being 13 years of age or older. I'm also selective about my dog friends, and would do best either as an only dog or with another dog of similar energy level (no puppy shenanigans for me, please!). I'm not sure what a cat is, so slow and proper introductions would be a must! If your heart is open to a lovely senior lady, come see me today! I can't wait to meet you!
