Welcome Michelle to Augusta Dog Adoptions! Michelle was rescued by animal control when she was found sitting in the middle of the highway, oblivious to the passing cars! We originally thought she was hearing impaired but since entering foster care we can tell that she can indeed hear some noises around her. Michelle is a very sweet girl and housebroken. Michelle has been ok with some calm dogs but has also been reactive to some that are too active or envade her personal space. We think she would be most successful in in a quiet home with other pets or small kids. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location.
