MEET MICHELLE : I don't know what happened. I used to have a home...... the next thing I know I'm sitting in the middle of the road not knowing what to do and where to go. I don't know what happened to my family. I don't know how I got here. At first they thought I couldn't hear because I wouldn't move, but I didn't know what to do, so I just sat there. Fortunately, animal control picked me up and took me to a shelter. It was really noisy there and I was very scared. I was loaded in a van and taken far away. I have been living with a wonderful lady who has taken such good care of me. She feeds me and loves on me and lets me run around her yard. She keeps telling me just to wait that my family is out there. I am really trying to be patient, but I really want my own family. As you can see by my picture I have a wonderful grin. And my eyes are longing for my forever person to look into them and love me. I am a very good girl. I am housebroken and crate trained. I love, love, love to go for rides and walks. I'm always up for a good walk or hike. I am middle aged. Probably about six or so. I really like people, but small children are a little too much for me. I have a goofy side once you get to know me. So, if you would like to meet me please let my foster mom know, and we can set that up. I do prefer to be the only pet in a house. I know there's got to be someone out there just looking for a big old goofy girl to share their life with. Paws crossed. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location.
