About Page

We have had Page for about 3 years, and she is approximately 4-5 years old. Page was rescued after being held as evidence for an animal cruelty case. Due to her rescue status, we believe she suffered severe abuse before we adopted her. Page had heartworms on adoption but is now heartworm free. Page was also extremely emaciated and had a non-healed leg fracture that had not received veterinary attention. Page is mostly human submissive but has become territorial and aggressive with other animals. Page has initiated several severe fights with our older female Boxer and has now started attacking our small Yorkies. Due to her size, and the severity with which she attacks, we no longer feel she is safe around other animals. Page is housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash with harness or collar. Page loves to be with people and cuddle but also loves water and outdoor activities. Page is able to scale up to 7 foot fences, both wood and chain link and must be leashed while outside as she does bolt at times. Page is extremely fearful of storms, gun fire, fireworks, and loud noises. Page has had some formal training but her trainer believes, due to the severity of her pack mentality, that she is not rehabable at this point and cannot guarantee that she will not attack again in the future. The trainer does believe her attitude towards other animals is pack hierarchy driven, and not true aggression. Page would do wonderfully as an only and inside dog. Page is a wonderful dog and we are absolutely heartbroken to rehome her. I am more than willing to answer any additional questions. Adoption fee is negotiable and will be donated to rescue.
