She originally came to rescue with her mom and 2 sisters. All were adopted, to include mom. They came to rescue after the mom was begging for burgers outside of a restaurant, thin and tired. She led a family to her pups and the owner requested the animals find a new place. So to rescue they came! Chiara was adopted as a young puppy. She was returned to rescue due to a pending move and not being trained. Please keep in mind when you adopt a young dog or puppy, or ANY animal, training is a responsibility. Chiara is a sweetheart and I know very intelligent (sometimes that is an issue for new pet owners) as her sister that was originally kept by the finding family was surrendered to rescue as a 10 month old and was INCREDIBLY smart. She too has been adopted. They are a higher energy dog as noted by their breed guesses and build. There may be some sighthound in there. Her sister, although much taller than Chiara, was DNA tested and the results were a little bit of EVERYTHING to include some 'yote. Either way, smart dogs need experienced handlers and that seems to be the case with Chiara. She will thrive in an active home that is ready to challenge her! A runner? A hiker? Biker? Get out there and do'er?
