About Mac

Adoption Fee: $275
Treeing Walker Coonhound / Beagle
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Mac, an extremely handsome, social, silly and energetic, 2-3-year-old male Coonhound in need of a forever home. This fellow was rescued from a high-intake animal control facility in rural KY. We do not have any background on his past but know he's got a bright future ahead of him as a much loved and cherished companion! He is a young adult that currently weighs in around 50 pounds so a great medium size. Mac is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves to make new friends! Like many of his breed type, he is energetic and curious and will do best with an active family who can provide him with lots of exercise and outdoor activities. He is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He also does well with other dogs. We have discovered that Mac can climb over fences that are less than 6 feet tall, so he will need to be in a home with a tall fence or with a family that can commit to leash-walking him. Mac is crate trained and does excellent with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. He will be a fantastic family dog for a household looking for a fun-loving companion. Mac is in a foster home in Chicago and he can be seen by appointment only after an adoption application has been completed and approved. For more information or for an application, please email [email protected] Mac's adoption donation to the rescue is $275. This fee helps to cover his neuter, vaccines and microchip.
