About Shorty

Adoption Fee: $180
Rat Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Shorty This little nugget finds himself suddenly homeless after he was owner surrendered to us on October 10, 2019. Shorty is thought to be a terrier mix. As most terriers will do he's trying to be brave and put on a confident face, but inside he's feeling less than confident. Shorty is a young dog at 2.5 years old. He has a beautiful coat, all glossy black with a few white spots. His eyes are intense and intelligent. He practically wills you to his side. He's a small dog at 25 lbs. He's house-trained and has had the run of his previous home during the day and overnight. We were told that he's selective about which dogs he likes. He doesn't like strangers and will try and ward them off until he knows they mean him and you no harm. We're unsure how he feels about cats and will test him for potential adopters. He loves playing fetch and will play for hours if you play with him. He walks well on a leash and enjoys being with those he trusts. Shorty will be neutered, fully vetted and microchipped before going home. If you're looking to welcome a pocket-sized, highly intelligent and sweet little dog to be your companion, come get Shorty! You'll be glad you did. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee.
