About APRIL

APRIL is a very sweet BLUEPOINT RAGDOLL MIX. She is 5 years old, spayed and has her claws. Her medium-length gray and white coat is currently growing out of a short lion cut and she has bright blue eyes. She weighs around 8 pounds. April was left at a local shelter when her people had to move and could not take her with them. She had a very hard time with losing her home and came to rescue depressed and sick from a cold she picked up from the shelter. She was also very matted and had to go in for an almost total shave, which made her feel more comfortable right away. After a few weeks of TLC and calm, April came out of her shell, recovered and showed what a lovely kitty she is. If you see her video below you can tell she is loving and adores attention, she just starts off quite shy. April's paperwork indicates she did live with other animals and she does seem to be fine with other cats that will not bully or get into her face. She would probably be ok with a cat-friendly dog too but she should not be with busy kids. The right home for April would be cat-experienced and understand that new kitties need time. Her coat, when it grows in, is fine and cottony and will need to be combed/brushed several times a week to keep from matting like it was before.
