About Molly

Molly is approximately one year old. She's very strong, very outgoing, very energetic. She is an alpha female and does not do well in homes with other alpha dogs. I think she would do OK with submissive dogs. She's very very smart and has learned to sit and shake hands with only a couple lessons. She's rambunctious, but very sweet. She would be perfect for a strong person who likes to run and in a home with no other pets in the home. She is crate and potty trained and behaves herself in the house but must be crated if left alone. She likes to be a little bit too playful and needs to have boundaries. She can get right up in your face to lick you and is very affectionate. She does well in the crate overnight. A large outdoor yard with a privacy fence or a 6 foot high chain link fence is crucial to contain her energy. She would not do well around poultry or livestock. I would not let her run wild for the sake of woodland creatures. I do not know how well she would hunt, but she would require a lot of dedicated training to bring any natural hunting skills out of her. I think she would make a great companion for an athletic individual who has a place in the country with a nice solid fence, and who is willing to give her a lot of attention because she likes run and to exercise. I wouldn't want her in a house with kids or other animals until she calms herself down, which she may do as she matures. She's a loving dog, and she definitely wants to please, but she has a powerful disposition. I think if she wasn't kept on a leash she would run out of sight.
