About Koda

Meet Koda the Shepard!!! Senior gentleman looking for a loving home. Koda is an 7 year old, male, shepherd mix. He weighs approximately 75lbs. He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He is good with other dogs but does prefer older dogs and is good with cats. He is WONDERFUL with children of all ages. Koda is an energetic guy looking for an active family. His current home cannot give him the time he needs for all of his energy and it is resulting in him trying to run out of the door. Despite being 7 he is an extremely active guy and needs to be able to get all of his energy out. He does well in the car and is crate and house trained. He does need an owner able to work on his manners. He will pull on a leash and has issues with taking unattended food. His new owner needs to be able to dedicate the time to his training, he is extremely smart and motivated by affection. Koda does not do well sharing his food with other dogs and gets upset with other dogs around his bowls. This can be fixed easily by feeding him separately and picking up his bowls. He can get posessive over tennis balls but not with any other toys, so avoiding tennis balls can fix that problem. Please dont let his age fool you, he is extremely playful (tug of war is his favorite!) and wants nothing more then a home that can give him plenty of playtime and affection! (Koda was previously adopted from a shelter and the shelter did give us permission to find him a safe new home) Vet and home checks required.
