About Colorado

COURTESY POST Colorado is a handsome 3 year old Aussie blend. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, potty trained and on preventatives. He loves car rides, walks, running and hiking. He also loves belly rubs and to be brushed. He learns very quickly. He loves being outside and does well with my older daughter, my husband and myself. When he's on his leash he is great with kids and loves meeting new people, especially if they will pet him. Colorado is easily startled (fearful of thunderstorms like a lot of dogs) and does resource guard when he has a bone. My 7 yr old tried to hug him when he had a bone and another time startled him when he was asleep and got bit. Neither were attacks, both were reactions. As stated, he is fantastic with my husband, my older daughter and myself. It is recommended that he is not placed in a home with small children, as they seem to make him nervous. Colorado is a good boy with a good heart. Like many herding breeds he is not good with small children, but he would be an amazing addition to the perfect family.
