About Meeka

Meeka is a sweet, active, intelligent dog. She has grown up in a house with cats and an 8 month old. She has been around other dogs but will become very dominant and aggressive in her territory. She's very protective of her kennel. She unfortunately is not getting the attention she needs. We are looking for someone to adopt her to give her a better life. She is now kenneled the majority of the day due to a major schedule change. She deserves better, she needs more. There is talk of putting her down, but she's a perfectly good dog. She doesn't deserve to be put down just because she isn't getting the attention she needs. She is house and kennel trained. She knows basic commands, however to change her loyalty from her current family to new family, new owners must be capable of training and familiar with the breed. She's super easy to train with treats. She's been rehomed once, and was returned due to growling at children and unfamiliar cats. We think it would be best for her to be the only pet unless new owner is familiar with training and knows how to go about introducing new pets. Please help find her a loving home. -She does have a cat friend here that we wouldn't mind keeping the pair together if interested but not necessary.
