Hi, my name is YAMERS - ID#A4292401. I am a neutered male, black Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd Dog, and I weigh about 50 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 9 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jul 24, 2019. Yamers is a sweet shy 9 year old lab. He doesn't like fast movement when petting on head. He likes hot dogs and will come up for some. Yamers is calm and tolerant with the other dogs. Yammers needs a quiet understanding patient home for him to come out of his shell. It does take a little while for him to warm up to you, but he finally does, and then wants to be your friend. Yamers has been at the shelter for a very long time, and unless he is adopted soon, he will face euthanasia. There's only so much training that can be accomplished in a setting such as an animal shelter. Yamers would progress much faster in a safe, loving home environment.
