About Duke

Hi my name is Duke, I'm a Great Dane. I'm friendly with everyone I have met so far. I have some issues with male dogs and show dominance over them and get a little temperamental when I'm not dominant over them. I'm curious about cats and have seen one or two but not totally sure how to act or what I should do. I have not been introduced to kids so I'm not sure what to expect I started out with a family as an indoor family pet. But I became to big and was put outside and a bit neglected. I lost some weight and looked bad. Then a nice lady who has Danes saved me. I went to her place and got along with all but one of her dogs she tried to keep me but with a litter of puppies and several dogs to have to deal with, I became the fella who needed a home. So then this family agreed to help, there cool they pet me play with me but I do not like the big mastiff and I want him to submit to me. This doesn't help there situation with how to keep everyone safe during the day. So I'm asking if someone would help with a home, I just want pettings a place to run a warm spot to sleep and love. So I need to let everyone know. I have been here 2 weeks now. I'm a good boy for the most part but I don't get along with the unfixed male in the house. I also don't like dominant females. I have been introduced to cats and I shouldn't be with them. They still give me pettings and provide food and love but I can tell I upset them sometimes. When it's a one on one situation, I'm all leans and love. I even get along with the other (fixed) male dogs. But the alpha female gave me a correction and I didn't like it. It's a good thing I respond quick to commands or there could have been problems. I'm still looking for a home but I might have to go to another home temporarily.
