My wife almost hit this dog on her way home late at night ~10:00 pm September 24, 2019. We brought her in, cleaned her up, fed and watered her because you could tell she was exhausted, thirsty and hungry. We posted photos on all our community websites, contact the sheriffs animal control and local shelter to see if she was tagged. Nothing. We had her spayed and paid for her current vaccinations. The vet told us she had a broken tail that had fused and healed a long time ago. And a damaged toenail that looks a little funky from past trauma. That she was anywhere from 6 months to just shy of a year old. Alone she is a gem but she is very aggressive towards our other dog Sam and we have neither the time nor resources to care for her. When my wife took her off the street it was under the premise that her owners would come pick her up! That never happened. We know nothing of her background. Sadly, we cannot keep her any longer. Watching her around our other two dogs has become a hassle that resulted in wounds on my wife's extremities when she tried to break them up. Lucy should be trained. She will make a fine pup for a family that can pay for her training and does not have any other animals to divide their time but devote it all on her.
