About Chloe

Chloe Age- 4 Female 60 LBS �%A0 Chloe was an owner surrender with severe neglect.She was adopted from a shelter, the owner couldn't have her when she moved so her sister took her and basically tied her up outside with no care or moments to look forward in life there alone. Chloe was relegated to a short tether and large gaps of time between attention and affection she was used to before. She was lonely and itchy and sad. Despite the neglect she's always been sweet and gracious for care. �%A0 Chloe can be a little shy at first with new people and new environment but as soon as she gets to know you she is very playful. She loves to play with toys and will retrieve toys and bring them back to you. She will sit when you ask her to before throwing the toy. She is a happy girl that is learning that she deserves love and she is soaking it all in! She loves to take treats and is very food motivated. We cut back on her food to 1/2 twice a day since she seems to be putting on weight fairly quickly. She listens very well and walks great on a leash. She prefers lower energy dogs that don't go directly into her face. Chloe takes her time warming up to dogs since she was never socialized with other dogs, She is still learning how to read their cues. Chloe is looking for a single dog family home while she continues this learning process. She does great in her kennel, rarely has an accident, and rarely barks. When we introduced her to a cat she seemed to do pretty good with the cat and was not concerned with her but would need to be watched until she could be trusted. Chloe has been given a second chance at life and we want to get her out of Texas! She would be traveling to the PNW as soon as she finds her forever home!
