About Josie Jujube

Adoption Fee: $75
Maine Coon / Ragdoll
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Josie aka Jojo Jujube is a big beautiful blue gray long hair female approx. 5yr. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vetted and spayed. She is good with nice cats, nice calm dogs nice kids. Jojo was found as a stray wondering the neighborhood, malnourished with thick matted fur. After a haircut, a vet visit, and time to put on weight, she is looking great and ready for adoption! PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! Jojo is so happy to be back inside soaking up the amenities of a soft, safe place to lounge. She loves attention and responds better to gentle and soft and of course its on her terms, typical female S. She loves to hang out where her people are as well as having a place she can hang out alone. She seems to enjoy being held from time to time or just lying next to you on the couch. She loves chin scratches, head scratches, butt scratches. She'll be timid in a new place at first , but after becoming familiar with her surroundings, she'll warm up to just about anyone, so she will need an adjustment period. She would be happy with another kitty friend or calm dog but even as the only cat to have her people all to herself. Jojo does well with children. I haven't seen her with children long term, but when guests with children came she was happy to be pet for a few minutes and then wanted to be alone. She has been free fed quality hard food (the first ingredient beginning with meat) and gets canned food morning and night. Although she prefers to lay around and chill most the day, she can be found time to time playing with a toy. She loves toy springs and small stuffed toys. She would probably like interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. She loves kitty treats and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. She will expect to share your bed, at least for a short time. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cats fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, laser lite, inside home ADOPT Josie aka Jojo Jujube FOR LIFE!
