Buddy's heart has been broken. His person, Ramsey, was killed by a driver who was under the influence of drugs. Her young son and Buddy were left behind. The National Great Pyrenees Rescue shared Buddy's story with us and asked if we could help. Buddy was rescued from a field in AL when he was about 6 months old. His mom was a vet tech so she was able to provide him with the best of care. He's been given the ProHeart 6 injection as a preventative every 6 months and tested Negative for heartworm disease in October. He is housebroken, neutered and has excellent leash skills. He gets along well with cats and dogs. We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in his genetic background. Our best guess is that he is a Great Pyrenees. Buddy currently weighs about 113 lbs. He may gain a bit more weight as he moves into a colder climate. We cannot guarantee size at maturity. Highlights about Buddy: - Housebroken - Gentleman on a leash - Enjoys being with other dogs - Good with cats - Up-to-date on vaccines - Well socialized - Tested Negative for Heartworm in October - He has been neutered Our adoption fee is $375 which includes age appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, Rabies), neutering, worming, micro-chipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming and similar dog related products and services are provided. NEW: First vet visit is now FREE with participating VT veterinarians.
