About Cotton

Cotton is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in this shelter photo is how truly beautiful this tiny dog is with his non-shedding pure-white coat and engaging smile on his cuter than cute face. Cotton also has beautiful dark eyes filled with so much wisdom. Once he gets a sudsy bath and some great nutrition, Cotton will absolutely be one of the happiest and most adorable guys around. At approximately 10ish years old (very difficult to tell with certainty) and a tiny 5 lbs, Cotton is a perfect weight to accompany his family just about everywhere a sweet, smaller dog is welcome. A walk together socializing with neighbors will speak to this little guy's love of the outdoors and engaging social abilities. At day's end Cotton would love nothing more than to snuggle close all night long. Cotton is every bit the happy guy (but sometimes shy in new situations) ...he's happy go lucky, fun and playful. But at the same time he's a super- cuddly and well-behaved pup (once he's used to his environment). It's natural for this little guy to express himself with a wagging tail and excited kisses of love. At this point in Cotton's development, he loves virtually everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Cotton to a family who expresses their love for him with kindness, excellent nutrition, physical and mental stimulation and tons of love!. We feel that Cotton will be most comfortable with an adult family or one with older kids where Cotton will be handled very gently. We also understand that Cotton will be happiest and most fulfilled with retirees, a family that works part-time or from the home or those that can take a smaller guy along to a pet-friendly workplace. He'll thrive on the time and attention that this lifestyle brings. Cotton will be up to date on his vetting. He'll have all his vaccinations and will be neutered. Cotton has had a recent physical and has been found to be in great health. Dogs of this breed mix that are well cared for are known to live to a ripe old age...16 years or more isn't unusual for these scrappy Terrier mixes.
