Katie is a 4-year-old Hound mix who is initially from the south and is a very nervous and shy dog. Once she warms up to her person, Katie bonds well and it happy to be around the people she loves. She doesn't like to be left alone so she prefers someone who is home a good portion of the day. Katie is very weary of strangers and has nipped people in the past. She doesn't appreciate being put in situations with a lot of people walking past her and reaching for her. Katie craves consistency and wouldn't be the best gal to go on constant car rides to all new places. But she does really enjoy running in fenced areas and nice long walks. Katie can get along with some dogs, preferably larger and more mellow dogs. Her ideal home would be with woman or with mellow men. She does need an adult only home.
