About Wendy

Wendy is a 29 pound, 3 year old Beagle mix. She is a friendly girl and does well with all people. Wendy would be happy as an only dog so she could hog all the attention or with a male dog her size. We have not introduced her to any cats. She loves to go for walks and does well on a leash. Wendy is a typical hound and loves to sniff as she walks. Wendy would like a home with a fenced yard, she loves to explore and sunbathe. Wendy has been homeless for almost a year. She came to us from another rescue in Texas where she was found as a stray and failed her heartworm test. They couldn't provide her any help there. Wendy made the long trip from Texas to Iowa on four flights with the volunteer Pilots N Paws Pilots. She was very happy to get out of a kennel and into a foster home. Wendy loves being in a home with soft dog beds and people to love her. We have taken Wendy through heartworm treatment following the American Heartworm Society's protocol and she is all ready to find her forever home. Wendy should test negative for heartworms in March.
