About Holly

Holly's engaging and sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated (it's evident in her smile that is ear to ear). She is such a wonderful being...we think she represents the best qualities of the Boxer and Terrier breeds. Holly seems to have left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up her earlier life. At just about 3.5 years old and 45 lbs..(the greatest size for long hikes in the Colorado mountains while being small enough to share the couch and bed perfectly). Holly would love nothing more than to spend a day of fun on the hiking trails or at the park followed by crashing on the couch for belly rubs and snuggles. Holly is a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the happier her family is with her behavior, the more she shines with her accomplishments. We would love to see Holly in a home that includes her in family time and activities...she's very social and would thrive in a family that truly loves her and considers her a very important family member. Holly would be a wonderful companion for active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with an adorable Boxer/Terrier. Holly is a happy girl who represents the joyful attitude and love of life of both of her breeds. While she might be initially shy or frightened (rehoming is often a bit scary), some kind words and soft touches and Holly falls deeply in love. Holly doesn't require another dog to be complete..she loves her people dearly and if they're attentive and loving, this sweet and loyal girl will be fulfilled and very happy. If a gentle dog is already part of a family, that's great with Holly as well. She enjoys her time spent in the company of a canine best friend. Holly will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their pup. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure....it can be a leisurely walk socializing with neighbors, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. A car ride is also always fun..especially if it leads to a fun, dog-loving spot. Holly would also be very happy to spend the afternoon just being together plopped down on the couch - all of this would speak to her sweet temperament and very loving temperament. Holly's New Mexico rescuer had the following to say about sweet Holly: Miss Holly is a one of a kind special girl. She is so full of bouncy energy and happy as can be even after all she's been through. I instantly fell in love with her kind energy, thoughtful ways and love of life . She's such a reliable baby..I can go to the park, out with friends dining on a patio or even go shopping with Holly and I couldn't ask for better behavior. She's a rock star on a leash, perfect on the hiking trails and a dream with my 2 grandchildren (ages 12 and 10) who I often hike with.They love her so much because she's reliably sweet, kind and very engaging with them.I couldn't recommend Holly more as a family companion and best friend!
