He has been vetted, microchipped and neutered. He is good with nice cats and nice older kids. Dogs? Toby had an irresponsible family that abandoned him unfixed without food, water or shelter. He made his way to a feral cat feeding station. A feeding station is where feral-wild cats are TNR'd - trapped neutered released and fed. Cats form colonies like this because irresponsible people abandon them, tossing them out like trash. They roam to find food then a loving caring concerned citizen starts feeding these starving cats forming a feeding station. They get TNR'd to prevent kittens, ear tipped so others know that these cats are fixed. The cats 'work' for us taking care of the mice, roof rats, scorpions and roaches, but they must be fixed. The 'wild' ones will survive because they are smart enough to elude predators and sick people. The 'tame' ones need to be taken in, they aren't smart. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! His rescuers heard his faint meow coming from one of the industrial buildings in the desert area where the feeding station is. There sat a shivering scared dirty orange kitty hiding behind the pallets. After some sweet talk coaxing he eased out. At his foster home he was given a nice warm bath and he soon began to relax. (cats take care of cleaning themselves and one would typically never attempt to give a stray cat a bath, but he needed it and did amazing!) Toby is so thankful he is inside and off the dangerous streets again. At first he would flinch when being pet 'over' the head but he quickly learned he doesn't have to be afraid anymore. His days of harm and abandonment are over. He now looks forward to head scratches and soft belly rubs. He enjoys being petted, and will roll over so that you can rub his chin, jowls, and chest. Toby is a very sweet people cat that loves a lap and wants to be where his people are. He loves attention, getting pet and loved. He is a goofball, will chase his tail and loves chasing a ball. He will toss it up and catch it. If you hold him comfortably he will lay in your arms. He has been found playing with a couple of the other kitties in the foster home, wrestling and running around. He plays with interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toy. He loves kitty treats and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. He will sleep in bed with you but loves to go after moving parts under the blanket so beware haha. Try throwing a towel over him and stand back lol Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. A quality hard food along with a can of food a day is a must for cats to help manage their fluids. Dry foods that help maintain UTI health are Hills, Purina Pro Plan, Urinary Tract Health and other quality foods. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, laser lite, inside home ADOPT Toby Tanner FOR LIFE!
