About Scarlett Sotherby

Adoption Fee: $60
Maine Coon / Ragdoll
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Scarlett Sotherby is a big beautiful chocolate black with white long hair female approx. 8yr. Her adoption fee is $60. She has been vetted and spayed. She is good with nice cats, nice calm dogs and nice kids. Mom has been rescuing animals for years and now has to move and downsize. Its breaking her heart but she is doing her best, knowing her babies will get the best loving homes. SHE DIDN'T TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT AND DUMP HER BELOVED FAMILY MEMBERS AT THE KILL SHELTER. SHE MADE THE EFFORT AND GOT HELP! IT'S A LIFE! In the right environment Scarlett will blossom. She is submissive and the more animals that joined the family the shyer she got. She would really brighten up if she was adopted as an only child or with maybe 1 or 2 other animals in a calmer environment. She is a lover not a fighter and lots of animals make her stand back. She is not bold and will wait her turn. She loves when it's her time to get the attention. She will purrrr and chatter to you when you love and pet her. Shake the treat jar and she will come running. She has been free fed quality hard food (the first ingredient beginning with meat) and gets canned food morning and night. She loves a kitty fountain and will sit and wait for it to turn on. Very inexpensive on Amazon. Although she does like boxes and fuzzy mice with less animals to compete with she might show interest in interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. She loves kitty treats and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. She will expect to share your bed. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cats fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, laser lite, inside home ADOPT Scarlett Sotherby FOR LIFE!
