Found Lou on September 29th in Elk Grove, CA after several days roaming the streets in the neighborhood. Checked shelters, posted about him on Nextdoor, FB, craigslist, no family came forward. He does not have a microchip either, or collar with any ID. He was extremely scared and reactive to touch, but over the days he started warming up mostly to me - food is a big motivator for him. Today he loves his walks, open to play time, wants doggie friends. He is more friendly with female vs young male humans, but with a slow introduction he will learn to trust again. Has a good appetite and he is just about potty trained - he was not when he took up temporary residence with us. He is too interested in my kitties and they don't appreciate the the prey status at their home.
