Well lets get this part out of the way, Poppy is blind. Don't stop reading though, hear this one out. She don't realize she is blind so don't tell her. She can do anything a dog with two good eyes can do. Her zest for life and her resilience to all that she has faced just leaves us speechless. Poppy loves to run and play, catch her if you can. She enjoys life to the fullest and loves to cuddle but also loves to run around and play with her foster siblings. Poppy has not let being blind and losing one of her eyes slow her down at all. She is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. She loves everyone and is a pure joy and sure to bring a smile to your face. This girl is a trooper. She can teach us a few things about life, if only we will listen and take lessons. She is about 4-5 years old, spayed, micro chipped, and she has had her rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine and she is heart worm negative. Poppy came to us from a shelter and she was found just roaming the streets, looking for help no doubt. She was blind in her right eye but she had some vision in her left eye, however it had a horrible ulcer that we treated for a few weeks and it improved but went right back to where it was and there was a risk of it rupturing so the vet felt it best to remove the eye. This decision was a hard one for us because we knew it would render her blind. She has no issues with this and she is just a happy little girl now. She loves people and loves to have a lap to curl up in.
