Ford was found with another female dog abandoned in a backyard when his owners moved away. He came in underfed and with scabby ears from flea bites. So far we know this. He is great with other dogs and even respectful of my little one. He loves his bed and blanket. He is crate trained and goes in when asked or just when he feels like it. He loves affection and will put a spell on you with his pleading big brown eyes. He has shown signs of food aggression, but so far no issues with toy aggression other than he is protective of his blankie. The first few days it took a lot of coaxing for Ford to go outside with the other dogs. But now he runs out with them except at night. When it is dark he will need some incentive (basically just you) to go with him. It's almost as if he thinks I will not come back. He is quite smart and does sit, down and wait very well. When asked to wait he will do it but will do this little puppy whimper when it is too difficult. We are learning not to play so rough with humans outside. He doesn't jump up inside and is respectful of space but outdoors he can be very strong and not have manners with humans. Still does great with the other dogs. This boy wants and needs love in a structured environment. It has only been a week and it is evident that he is more comfortable every day.
