About Nala

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Nala is the world's sweetest Chihuahua! She has had a rough start in life being seized from a cruelty case in Texas. When Nala was seized it was apparent that she was paralyzed. Nala has a spinal injury. She has a fracture in her 11 vertebra. She has gone through numerous types of therapy to help regain some mobility. She can now take a few steps on carpet or grass. As she grows stronger, the belief is that she will continue to gain mobility! At this time, Nala does require bladder expression at least 3's daily. Don't let that scare you; it is very easy to do once you get the hang of it! She does require a diaper as her bladder will occasionally leak. She also has no control over her bowel movements, Despite all of this Nala is such a happy little girl with so much love to give! She has an amazing temperament and hasn't met a human (all ages) or animal that she didn't like! Nala is about 1.5 years old and 5.5 lbs. Nala is crate-trained (she currently hangs out in a playpen when her foster family is not at home) She enjoy chews toys and interactive treat games! **Nala is currently being fostered in Hartland, MI** All Midwest Region dogs listed are adoptable in 4 Midwestern states (OH/IL/MI/WI). We do transport! They are spread out throughout the Midwest in foster homes.
