About Bebe

Adoption Fee: $30
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Bebe is just over one year old. We got her from a shelter in Bakersfield 3 months ago. Came to us with no manners or potty training that we could tell. She is about 20lbs and in good health. She may be cattle dog crossed with a small fuzzy terrier. She is a happy cheerful girl who would love to be a sidekick to her one person, although she is great with my family. She is used to being kenneled for meals and when we go out. Not a picky eater. Obedient. If she gets tired of watching you work and you don't want to play she goes to her open kennel for a nap. No problem potty-wise in kennel or loose at night in our bedroom. Goes to the door to wait to be let out. Occasionally still is just quiet and I don't see her waiting. Does not get on beds or furniture, but would love to. Wants to be your little partner. Loves to play ball. Likes toys and tug of war. Wants to please. Have not spent much time at dog park. Only children I have seen her near she ignored because we were playing ball. Good in the car for trips. Barking occurs at mailman, door bell, and new people. Would be a good watch dog. She understands her bark collar we put on her once in awhile. If she wears it for one day, she's quiet for several days. She does Not bark nonstop or randomly. As far as we've been able to discover, she only just sleeps when we leave, no barking. I just happen to be a very sensitive person to noise. We go for days and forget about the collar. She loves attention, but will back off if you want. Knows 'sit,' 'go potty', 'Not for you' 'out,' 'in,' and 'off.' Begun working on 'stay' and comes to her name. She has thick wavy hair with a couple black spots that are slightly longer hair. She is always game for her next adventure. I have not had her around other animals except occasionally at parks where she sees dogs that she ignores if she has her ball. We have one other dog, an American Foxhound that we are also rehoming. We got Bebe as a playmate for the Foxhound. Both breeds need more room and activity than we are giving. They get along famously well. Bebe and Molly come with their harnesses, health records, beds, food, etc. If you have space for these dogs, or are ready for running, biking or hiking and would like a partner, Bebe may be the gal for you.
