About Roscoe

This is a very heartbreaking decision, not one that is accepted easily. We are moving across the country and are unable to find a rental that allows his breed and size. Roscoe has been with us for 3 1/2 years, hes now 6 1/2 years old. He is very anxious and has some special circumstances that will not allow him to go to just anyone. We feel that he would do best in a home with calm older adults who are active but are able to spend time with him. It would be ideal to place him with someone who has at least one other dog that hes compatible with. Roscoe isnt destructive, doesn't bit and can entertain himself. He cannot ever be put in a kennel or pen, he will destroy it and injure himself. He has never done well with the vet, having his shots, having nails done and will react aggressively when backed into a small space. He is very loving and loves meeting new people and dogs. He's not much of a barker except to alert. He will take a fairly long time to adjust to new environments. He has been vehicle aggressive in the past but we've managed to break that cycle. He walks well on lease but doesn't do well with distractions like people, cars, etc. He responds very well to beep function on training collar so never a need to buzz or shock. He is very smart, learns new things quickly, loves to have conversations, hes a talker. He will always let you know when someone is outside. The couch is his favorite spot. He weighs in at a whopping 130lbs, is taller than average, gains weight very easily so treats are limited. He loves to chew but will only chew toys, bones, chomps. Roscoe can only go to an approved home to the person or people we select. This rescue is urgent as we leave on the 31st of October. Please reach out to me quickly!
