About Daphne & Freckles

Daphne and Freckles are a mom and daughter bonded pair who are looking for an owner who LOVES rabbits. Daphne was given to a family as an Easter gift, along with a male rabbit and about 4 months later Daphne had a litter of 4 kits. The family was NOT expecting this and after about 3 months asked friends if anyone could adopt their rabbits. We took in Daphne and her baby, whom we named Freckles, hoping to become rabbit people. We love them, but these are not the right pets for our family. We have kept them longer than we probably should have, but now we have decided that we need to find them the right 'furever' home. These two girls are sweet, playful, and they LOVE treats. They snuggle up together for naps, they sleep through (most) nights, and they binky their little hearts out when they get time out of their pen. Currently, Daphne and Freckles are 1.75 and 1.25 years old, and very healthy. They eat hay all day, kaytee fiesta pellets in the morning, and lots of lettuce and herbs in the evening. They absolutely hate getting their nails clipped, but they love having their heads rubbed. Daphne is a little sassy, and Freckles is a little shy. Their personalities are unique! They do well around children who like to read, snuggle, and play board games or quiet things- but around kids who love to cartwheel and flip, they get nervous. They actually love cats and play with our boy- hide and seek and chase are their favorites, and when they all tire out it's definitely time to snuggle- but dogs give them the heebie jeebies!
