Meet Georgie, a senior Cocker Spaniel!! This is what his fosters had to say about him... 'When we first found handsome little Georgie, he was wandering in a neighborhood near our home. He walked very slowly with a shuffle due to the thick matting in his fur. My husband carried him to our house about 1/2 a mile away, where Georgie's healing began. Besides the matts, he was covered in fleas and ticks, and he was malnourished. Initially, Georgie also had incontinence, and he would sleep so soundly that he'd urinate and/or have a bowel movement while he was sleeping. After a vet visit, it was discovered that Georgie had elevated kidney levels as well as a bladder infection. Over the course of the treatment with medication, along with a doggy diaper/belly band, Georgie now happily walks himself to a dirt area to relieve himself, even with the belly band on. It is extremely easy to change the band, and it's never leaked or been a problem. Georgie's energy and personality have really come to surface and have blossomed since getting the care and attention that he needs. After 2 weeks, he started exhibiting more dog-like behaviors, such as rolling around on the floor, licking his paws, and actually enjoying a good belly rub. He loves attention and love, and he follows us everywhere. He has so much love to give!!' Some additional tidbits: loves kids, is calm & well behaved around other non aggressive/trained dogs, gets excited when it's time for his evening walk, good around cats.
