She has been vetted and spayed. She is good with nice calm dogs and nice older kids and would probably be fine with other nice cats. Olivia showed up on the doorstep of her new foster family in the middle of the summer heat, panting, begging for help. Evidently in her past she had gone thru the TNR - trap neuter return program. She had been fixed, ear tipped and released. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! Now back inside where it's safe Olivia adjusted quickly making it clear she knew the comforts of a home. She is such a sweet, gentle, well-behaved kitty and this is coming from her rescue family that have never had a cat before! She loves to snuggle, loves head scratches and belly rubs. She will tolerates being held for short period but will lay with you for hours. She enjoys hanging on the sofa with the family and she also has a few preferred chairs for lounging. Olivia will want to be where her people are. She is social, wants to be where the action is. She is occasionally chatty, more on the quiet side. She is full of personality and is a very happy kitty. She has been free fed quality hard food (first ingredient beginning with meat) and gets canned food morning and night. She loves interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. Her favorite toy is a catnip rainbow that she will grab and rabbit kick. She loves kitty treats and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. She will expect to share your bed. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cats fluids. A good quality canned food pate diet is better than dry food however there are some dry food that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health.
