About Lily

Adoption Fee: $50
Pit Bull / American Bulldog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Lily is a very sweet girl. I raised her since she was a puppy, she's been to training classes, knows her manners and many commands, she's very respectful of her owner, however, just recently had food aggression with my 4 year old grandson and bit him. I was working with the dog during the incident as ongoing training to be sure she would not have these types of issues, however, unfortunately it happened. She we would do great in a home with adults only. I also have a cat and they are friends and they like to play chase. Lily does great on the leash and on walks, however, she gets very excited when she sees other dogs or other people. She has a very friendly nature, and this recent aggression is very unexpected. Unfortunately I can't risk family member getting bitten and it breaks my heart to have her leave, but it will do my heart good to find her a good home with a loving adults. Lily lives in a home with a large fenced in yard, where she can run free. She recently has started barking more through the fence at the neighbors, but I started using a dog whistle to get her to stop barking and come inside and it has been working. Lily is a very loyal, mostly submissive, but sometimes bossy girl, she needs someone who will be dominant with her to be sure she minds her manners but overall she's very loving girl. She is crate trained and does exceptionally well in her crate. Upon adoption, you will have her crate, her toys and all of the items you would need for her. I will only to adopt to someone who I can get to know and show them Lily's personality and all the things about her you would need to know. As mentioned, I am very sad to let her go, but my daughter is expecting another baby soon, and I can't risk anything happening since my grandson is at my house very often. Lily also snapped at an older boy at the park recently. she was startled, it was unexpected as he was running by. she has never shown aggression outwardly. I will be able to go into more detail and answer any questions you may have. Again I've had her in training since she was a puppy. she will be 2 in November. I never expected her to have any aggression because that was never her nature and never imagined I would have to make this choice. Please contact me for more information. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
