UPDATED 04/09/20: Hi, my name is COOPER - ID#A4273086. I am a neutered male, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier, and I weigh about 80 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jun 30, 2019. Cooper has been adopted in the past, but was unable to get along with owner's other dog. He is a very friendly, mellow and sweet dog. He hates being in a kennel, and displays aggressive behaviour whenever anyone walks by, so he is always overlooked for adoption. He will exit and re-enter his kennel easily, just acts scary while in the kennel. He gets along with most dogs, but is very selective, so if you already have a dog, please bring it down for a meet and greet. Cooper walks very good on a leash, and would make a great walking or hiking buddy. He loves treats. and will 'sit' nicely and take the treat gently. He also loves belly rubs, and will roll over for you to give him one. He seeks attention, but is not pushy. He has been at the shelter well over 90 days, and will go on the euthanasia list very soon if not adopted. Please consider Cooper for your next furry family member.
